At Six Pence Pub, the menu is a treasure trove of comfort food crafted to satisfy any craving. A standout is the Pork Roast, slow-roasted to perfection and served with creamy mashed potatoes and rich gravy— it’s a dish that feels like a warm hug. Not to be missed is the Shepherd's Pie, a classic that combines ground beef, peas, carrots, and onions in a savory brown sauce, all topped with fluffy mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese. For seafood lovers, the Crab Cakes are a must-try. Prepared in a spicy Daufuskie Island style and paired with mashed potatoes, they perfectly balance crispy and tender textures. The ambiance is another highlight. It's described as “warm and cozy,” a perfect refuge after a chilly outdoor stroll, and it feels like your favorite local pub. The food is so good. The French onion soup is delicious. The half sandwich and soup combo is really good. The Guinness beer is really good. The waiter was so nice and said everything we needed to know before we could even ask. He said everything about the dietary restrictions for the specials and it was very helpful. Also the fries were so unique and absolutely delicious and the tartar was amazing! 10/10 recommended!

Warm and cozy! Just the place you want to be after a chilly walk outdoors. The Irish coffee warms the soul. The service was excellent from the hostess to the server. French onion soup was excellent but the house made bread pudding takes the cake! It was one of the best I’ve ever had. The ambiance offers the comfort of your favorite Irish pub with dark wood and warm textures.

Fantastic meal at sixpence. We had a great broccoli cheese bite appetizer. I had fish and chips, my wife had chicken salad and sweet corn chowder with crab soup. Service was on point thanks to Adrianna, food was delicious, filling, and priced right. I had sworn off Blowing Rock thanks to another restaurant there, glad we tried this place!

Cute little pub in the heart of Blowing Rock. We came here on a Sunday afternoon in the peak of the fall tourist season. Everywhere was packed. I fully expected an hour wait or more. We were seated immediately. The service was good for how busy they were. The food was good too. It was typical British pub food, and it hit the spot. I would definitely come back.

Amazing food!! Fish and chips 10/10. Service was excellent!! Highly recommend!!!

Great food & atmosphere, staff are pleasant and prompt. We sat outside this time, though I have sat inside before. Both are good, though the inside is noisier than outside, naturally. The food is fantastic; tasty broccoli cheese bite appetizers, pot roast with gravy, wild rice & spicy collard greens, shepherd's pie & salad. The non-sweet iced tea "still tasted like tea" & my hard cider was good for a warm evening. Loved the huge pots of herbs and flowers, British and American flags, and old pub-style artwork out on the terrace. Highly recommended!

Delicious Irish Food - Rich and Hearty I love Irish food and Six Pence Pub brings all the best of its specialties—from appetizers to entrees. It’s located in a scenic, cozy area of town and run by friendly, efficient staff. The menu is delicious and everyone in my party agreed their order was excellent. Will gladly eat here again!

We really enjoyed a late lunch at this pub. The atmosphere was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We chose the bar side....our waiter was very attentive. We both had a crock of the French Onion Soup....it was very tasty and well made with the two croutons and cheese. We shared a Rubin sandwich that was equally as good. I enjoyed a Smithwicks. We would very much recommend this pub.
